CDFA™

I had been married for 12 years when my wife filed for divorce in March, 2007.  Mediation was unproductive – primarily because there were no financial reports or projections to help us make informed decisions.

I tried to plan my own divorce.  The problem was that I did not understand the divorce laws and how the tax code applied.  Nor did I have access to divorce planning software to help make wise and accurate projections.

I later learned about becoming a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ – and I immediately enrolled.  Several months later, I achieve my goal of becoming a CDFA™.

Had my wife agreed to hire a CDFA™ in the beginning, we could have been divorced within a few months after our separation and avoided considerable frustration.

If you are reading this and your marriage is over, remember that the rest of your life is still ahead.  As a CDFA™, I can help you and work with your attorney to increase the chances of reaching a settlement that fully addresses your short-term and long-term financial needs.
